Lifestyles Home Care New Services Plan Student Name

Mission Statement To provide top-quality home care services to frail elderly and handicapped individuals, including both those clients who are eligible for state-supported services and those who are not, to enable them to live independently and safely in their own homes.

Overview of Plan to Introduce New Services Start offering services on a fee basis in January Will be hiring more staff throughout the Fall Have new brochure describing all services Already signing up new clients

Current Services

Why New Services? Clients increasingly are requesting additional services Families call us asking for services and assistance planning Income guidelines for state-supported services are dropping – Many fewer people are eligible – People are willing to pay for assistance to stay in their own homes

Services Requested Most Often Services assistance with health insurance forms companionship errands grocery shopping home care information about services available in area light chores meal prep personal care scheduled phone calls to families

New Services Meals – Planning – Grocery Shopping – Meal Prep Laundry Bill payment and mail organization Errands Overnight and respite care Companionship

Trust Issues Supervisors visit clients’ homes at random – Check quality of service plan – Check for problems Only bonded employees may provide bill- paying service New procedure for reporting incidents – Call supervisor immediately after incident – Submit written report – Meet with supervisor for a follow-up

Current Employees Can apply to provide new services – Will be offered first choice before new employees – Must attend training sessions Can remain in current positions
