ICT Integration in the Classroom

Our Goal Our goal is to motivate teachers to integrate ICT in curriculum delivery

Our philosophy It is felt that if we provide the necessary infrastructure for teachers. It would create a more enabling environment and therefore motivate teachers to integrate ICT in the classroom

OUR LAPTOPS Lap tops (195) were received on 3 rd November All were distributed on said day A parent sensitization session held

Proposed infrastructure All the desired infrastructure not yet in place

Planned infrastructure achieved( Support) New ICT competent librarian on board Library converted to media centre Supportive, knowledgeable ICT technician

IT support (c’td) 90 % of HoDs now trained IT teacher freed up for additional support

Resource Acquisition (c’td Software being sourced by teachers and librarian HoDs networking with external resource personnel

Monitoring of implementation plan Members of the steering committee: Heads of Department Librarian IT teacher IT technician Dean of form 1 VP and principal

ICT Integration - A work in progress Difficult to report on outcome such as discipline, student performance, teacher response at this time because so far only the technology education teachers have been using the laptop in the classroom.
