Narrow view: Failure! Technology (narrow sense):  Know-how for technical procedures  Machinery equipment blue prints technical instructions or manuals.  Technology transfer: Process of conveying this know-how. Inappropriate because:  Technology not isolated from context nor nor from organisational structures  Technology often embodies organizational factors.  Narrow view: technology transfer fails
