Main successes drawn from the project The storytellers were able to convey the meaning of stories to those with very little English Encouraging the sharing of stories gave a purpose and relevance and hence motivation to speak in English Respecting many cultures seemed to give confidence to share Stories provide lots of structure for the development of vocabulary and language patterns Stimulated a lot of discussion, reflection and understanding of different cultures Sessions were enjoyable
