Final grading and amount of credits are evaluated by the responsible teachers on the course. Grading is based on: Difficulty Quality of the results Quality of reporting Implementation of the project plan Co-operation with the instructor Teamwork and its reporting

Deliverables Project plan + 10 min presentation Intermediate report + 10 min presentation Final report min presentation + demo The time limit for presentation should not be exceeded. Participation requires that all presentations are listened. Exception: The final reports are presented in two separate sessions A and B. It is not absolutely necessary to participate in other group’s session. Instructions for documenting in Wiki. Keep track on time spent on project for all team members! Report how teamworking turned out and how did you organize your work.

About working in a project Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. ~Andrew Carnegie – Goals, timetable, resource allocation, budget, communications & documenting, quality, risks “Hyvin suunniteltu on puoleksi tehty”

Different project types Research projects - risks are high - changes in plans very likely - Sometimes a project can be successful even if the original goals are not met Product development projects -The process often based on gatemodel -Risks are handled by starting small Delivery projects - risks should be low - the project planning is easier (?) - timetables for procurement and work - penalties if the original goals are not met
