“Hillary Clinton's big night on the debate stage”
Hillary Clinton delivered a poised, polished performance in the campaign's first Democratic presidential debate, firmly defending herself against claims that she flip flops for political gain and likely quelling nerves in her own party after a stumbling start. Her confident demeanor on the debate stage in Las Vegas last night may also dampen speculation that there is a place in the race for Vice President Joe Biden, who is still agonizing over a decision about whether to mount a late presidential run. Clinton produced a more convincing rationale for why she should be President. She argued she has the vision and experience to enforce change. Questions surrounding Clinton’s “flip flop” politics was refuted when Clinton said, "I have been very consistent. Over the course of my entire life, I have always fought for the same values and principles, but, like most human beings, including those of us who run for office, I do absorb new information. I do look at what's happening in the world. I know how to stand my ground, and I know how to find common ground.” While Clinton appeared to have made the biggest splash in the debate, it sometimes takes several days for voter perceptions to gel. Sanders also put in a strong performance and was largely true to his word that he would not mount direct attacks but try to confine the debate to the issues.

All 298 people aboard the aircraft died in the crash. The Dutch Safety Board (DSB) said whatever happened to the plane happened quickly, leaving the passengers dazed or unconscious. And while it's not clear if anyone died in midair, no one could have survived the plane's impact with the ground, the DSB said. The DSB released its official report Tuesday and it said MH17 crashed after a missile warhead exploded outside the cockpit.
