The Law of God It was a good law Romans 7:12 But people sinned and fell short Rom. 3:23 The law served to condemn Israel Rom. 7:7-11 However, it was not perfect Heb. 8:7, 7:19 It did not provide forgiveness Heb. 10:1-4 That is why we have the law of Christ Romans 8:1-3 The old law is still for our learning Rom. 15:4

The Law of God Principles are universal, but the applications are based on the authority in force The law was given to Israel Deut. 5:2-3 It is not a universal law (not for Abraham) Not for other nations even then 4:6-7 Let us not confuse principle with application Let us learn about God from His law to Israel

The Law of God God requires obedience 4:1 God forbids any deviation from His word 4:2 His word reflects His wisdom 4:6-8 Obedience glorifies God 4:7 Manner of giving the law 4:15 Therefore idolatry is wrong 4:16-19 Manner of giving the law 4:33 He showed His love 4:32-38
