His Biography Henri-Émile -Benoit Matisse was born on December 31, 1869 in the Picardy region of northern France Studied law and worked as a law clerk At the age of 21, he became seriously ill and when he recovered, he began to paint and discover his love for art Quits on law and starts his life-long passion for art
