She had not used ICT before therefore decided to use the digital camera to record familiar shapes that the children saw while taking a walk. When they came back from their walk they downloaded and discussed the pictures they had taken. They then used the Digital Movie Creator to build up a storyboard of the walk adding captions and choosing music. They decided not to use any special effects as this would detract from the focus on shapes. It is a ‘transition’ toy and stays near her when she is working. At home Fred dances with her sister’s toy Daphne so we made Fred dance in the nursery. Look at him move!
