TRIANGLES AND TYPES OF TRIANGLES

What is a TRIANGLE ? A closed figure formed by joining three line segments is called a TRIANGLE.

A triangle is a polygon with three vertices and three sides (edges). It has three internal angles.

A triangle has three angles

A triangle has three sides

IDENTIFYING TRIANGLES They are everywhere.

Identifying Triangles

Three types Equilateral triangle Isosceles triangle Scalene triangle TYPES OF TRIANGLES by sides

Three types Acute angled triangle Right angled triangle Obtuse angled triangle TYPES OF TRIANGLES by angels

Isosceles Triangle At least two sides are equal.

Equilateral Triangle All sides are equal.

Scalene Triangle No sides are equal.

Right Triangle Exactly 1 right angle ( 90 ⁰)

Acute triangle All the angles are acute angles.

Obtuse triangle Exactly 1 angle is obtuse.

TRIANGLES Keep looking They are EVERYWHERE!
