Prov 28:13, “He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.”
Doxology Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.— Amen.
Prov 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.”

Blessings vs. Divine discipline related to giving in business. Pt. 2
Giving is a business transaction. You are exchanging your material blessings (time, talent or treasure) and surrendering them to others for their benefit.
Outline: Generosity Blessed, vs. 24a. Stinginess Cursed, vs. 24b. Generosity Blessed, vs. 25. Stinginess Cursed, vs. 26a. Generosity Blessed, vs. 26b.
Prov 11:24 Give before the need arises.
Prov 11:25
Prov 11:25 “He will be prosperous”, DASHEN, דָּשֵׁן, “To be made to become fat.” That connotes wealth, abundance, full satisfaction, and health.
“Fatness” means the quality of our reciprocated blessings from God.
The Correlation!
The Correlation! “The one who waters”, RAWAH, רָוָה, “To give water, be satiated, drenched or soaked.”
The Correlation! “The one who waters”, RAWAH, רָוָה, “To give water, be satiated, drenched or soaked.” Give until the need is met!
The Blessing “You will be watered” God will bless you abundantly. He will drench you with material blessings, even though it seems like you are giving them all away.
The world says to hold on to as much as possible, but God blesses those who give freely of their possessions, time, and energy.
Giving helps us to gain the right perspective about our possessions. They were never really ours to begin with, but were given to us by God to help others.
Principle: Give when the needs arise during the nurturing process, and keep on giving until the needs are met, and the person gets back on their feet.
Prov 11:26
Prov 11:26 “He who withholds” MANA, מָנַע, “To withhold, hold back or refuse.”
This believer is capable of and has the power to provide for others, but refuses to do so, cf. Amos 8:4-8.
Rather than simply not giving, vs. 24, they turn their backs on those in need and hoard their resources for an assumed better future price.
Prov 3:27, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.”
The consequence for withholding is “cursing”, QAVAV, קָבַב. Pronouncement of bad fortune or ill favor. Ex 22:22-24; Amos 8:4-8; James 5:4.
James 5:4, “Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth (The Armies).”
“Cursing” will come from the LE’OM, לְאוֹם, the “people or nation.”
“Cursing” will come from the LE’OM, לְאוֹם, the “people or nation.” You will not be part of the Pivot if you are not giving with your time, talent or treasure.
There is a special curse on those who ignore helping the helpless poor, Prov 21:13; 22:22-23.
Prov 21:13, “He who shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be answered.”
Prov 22:22-23, “Do not rob the poor because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate; for the Lord will plead their case, and take the life of those who rob them.”
There is a curse for those who take advantage of the poor, Prov 22:16, 28:3.
Prov 22:16, “He who oppresses the poor to make more for himself or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.”
The Contrast!
The Contrast! “Blessing (BERAKAH) will be on the head (ROSH) of him who sells it (SHAVAR).”
“Sells it”, SHAVAR, שָׁבַר “To break up your wealth, so that you can give some of it away or sell it.” Cf. Gen 41:56-42:6.
Charity to the poor is a bona fide function of the establishment, Prov 14:31, 19:17.
Prov 14:31, “He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors God.“
Prov 19:17, “One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, and He will repay him for his good deed.”
Charity to the poor is a bona fide function in this life, Gal 2:10.
Charity is for the helpless poor. Welfare makes the poor helpless.
Principle: When the harvest is in, share what you have with the needy, do not hoard wealth. Give when you have the means to do so, not making excuses as to why you can not.
