USSML  Uzbek State Scientific Medical Library (USSML) is one of the oldest libraries of the Central Asia  The library was founded in 1935  The library is one of the greatest repositories of biomedical literature

The USSML Collection  Consists of about one million documents including books, periodical issues, dissertations in Uzbek, Russian and other languages  160 thousand books and journals in the Foreign Literature collection

In the USSML there are such rarities and valuable books as  “Canon of medical science” by Avicenna in Arabic  Scientific works of Hippocrat  The scientific publishings of XVII-XIX centuries  There is a great number of works of the founders of medical science and clinical practice  The works of the famous scientists in the field of medicine and biology of Uzbekistan
