Review Sound & Vision 2014 All radio applications that panels qualified were funded. 4% of radio applications (19) rejected at stage 1, 53% rejected by panels 43% successful. Figures similar to % of applications awarded 85%+ of request (20% 99+%) 72%, 85%+ in 2013.

Review Sound & Vision 2014 Two round strategy has reduced application numbers but not quality of final package. Targeted round has not been of significant benefit for animation, education or radio Quality of radio applications continues to be an issue IT system continues to work well and further development planned in 2015.

Review Sound & Vision 2014 All radio projects reviewed for compliance with treatment had no significant issues arising. Variation structure working well. New BAI Accounting Guidelines issued & VAT issue resolved. 16 BAI audits of final cost statements completed. Only one qualified opinion due to poor records. Draft reports sent for review before Christmas

Review Sound & Vision 2014 Auditor observations on financial controls –timesheets, accounting records, stamping invoices & dedicated bank accounts. Audit Sample– 5% of total contracts closed in a calendar year. Operational review identified areas for changes to contracting and compliance processes. Plan to introduce in 2015 to reduce administrative burden.

Broadcaster Letter will be required no later than 3- months after award in principle.
