Presentation transcript:

1. Open PowerPoint 2. Click in the top box and type “Washington D.C.. 3. Highlight, Bold, and change the font (any kind but I must be able to read it) 4. Type the words: “Five Interesting Facts” in the smaller box below 5. Add 9 little pictures or clipart that have to do with Washington D.C. 6. When you complete one page click on “Home” tab and click on “New slide”. Choose the “Title slide” (The first one) 7. Open Wikipedia and type “Washington D.C.” in the search box. Find 5 facts from Wikipedia and type in PowerPoint a fact (one per page) and at least 5 clipart pictures that go along with your fact on each page.

8.Click on the “View” tab at the top and click on “slide sorter” (you should see all of your work). 9 Press “Ctrl + a” (select all). (You should have 6 slides highlighted) 10. Click on the “Animation” tab and select “Slide transitions”. Under “Advance Slide” click on the box “Automatically after”. Now adjust the time in the box by clicking the arrow until you get to “00:10” (Ten seconds). 11. Click on the first slide. 12. Click on the “Slide Show” Tab at the top. Click on “From Beginning”.

13. Go to page one and click on one of the pictures. Click on the “animation” tab and Click “Custom animations”. The Custom animation box should appear to the right. 14. Click on the “Add Effect” button then click on “entrance” and choose an effect (the animation will show you what it does). If you do not like this animation, click on the animation in the big box to the right and click on the arrow to the right of the animation. Click on “remove”. If you like it go to step Click on the arrow to the right of the animation. Click on “Start after previous”. If you would like to change the speed of the animation choose a different speed from the box entitled “Speed”.

16.Once you have the animation how you like it, then, 17. Repeat these steps on all of the picture on your PPT (PowerPoint). You may also do this with text boxes. 18. Press the icon at the bottom left that looks like the following to see all of the slides. 19. Press “Ctrl + A”. Right click over one of the slides. Click on the “Animation” tab and select “Custom Animations” 20. Click on “Slide transitions” 21. Choose a slide transition. Under the “Advance slide section at the bottom check the box titled “Automatically after. Choose 00:15 (15 seconds). 22. Click on the “Apply to All Slides” button.

23. Click on the “Slide Show” tab at the top and click on “Set up show” under “Show Options” check the box titled “Loop continuously until ‘Esc’” Click ok. 24. Ask Mr. Reynolds to see your work. 25. Press “F5” 26 Press the “File” tab press “print”. The print box should appear. Under “Print What” Choose “handouts” to the right choose “6 per page”. Under “Color/ Grayscale” choose black and white. 27. Press Print.
