BACKGROUND The ‘Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Mini-Tournament’ (SACMT) is the eponymous charity event named after Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, the 1 st Vice – President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) – Football Administrator, Entrepreneur, Lawyer, Mentor, Husband and Father. Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi is an altruist who has a burning desire to see to the development of indigent children in the society. He has contributed in no small measure to various charities aimed at the development and improvement of children. Part of his stellar works includes his involvement with the Parents Against Autism Initiative (PAAI) and Courage Education Foundation (CEF) which funds the education of intelligent and indigent children – currently over 170 of them, from primary school through tertiary institutions.
