Ethics or Morality? Which is it? 7:03 Read page 8 (blue box together) Define Ethics in your notes Ethics comes from the Greek word ta ethika (having to do with good character) Ethics is more interested in the Good that humans tend towards, such as happiness and freedom. Define Morality in your notes Morality comes from the Latin word moralitas (having to do with the customs, habits and manners shaping human life) Morality is more interested in ways that humans can attain this good, such as the rules, laws or commandments we experience as a duty or obligation to follow.
