 1. Issues concerning health care and the environment are dealt with by which type of policy?  Public policy  2. What are five sources of public policy?  government, political parties, interest groups, the media, private citizens  3. What does a planning commission do?  It oversees community growth

 4. What is the term for a community’s network of roads, bridges, water, and sewer systems?  Infrastructure  5. What three factors must a community consider when setting priorities?  A community must determine what it values most, define its specific goals, and then rank those goals in order of importance  6. What is a master plan, and how does it become public policy?  A master plan states the goals of the community and how those goals will be achieved. If the local government accepts the master plan, the plan becomes public policy.
