ASEAN ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM) –Heads of national agencies responsible for disaster management –Overall responsibility for coordinating regional activities –Developed ASEAN Regional Programme on Disaster Management (ARPDM) Outlines regional strategy Identifies priority areas Plan activities for disaster reduction Priority project: establishment of an ASEAN Regional Disaster Management Framework to include: –Development of a regional agreement on disaster management and response –Develop standard operating procedures to operationalize disaster response –Conduct of simulation exercises HADR in the Context of ASEAN
