The American printer, author, philosopher, diplomat, scientist and inventor.

Benjamin Franklin was born January 17, 1706 in Boston, Massachusetts He was the tenth son of Josiah Franklin a skillful candle maker and mechanic. His mother Abiah Folger was the second wife of Josiah Franklin. She was a discreet and virtuous women. Lived in a puritan household Franklin rejected his fathers calvinist theology and branched out on his own learnings.

Returning to Philadelphia in 1726 he worked very hard and in return he soon owned his own press. He published the newspaper called the Pennsylvania Gazette and soon began to write Poor Richards Almanac. Soon after he became a clerk of The Pennsylvania Assembly and a postmaster that operated a bookshop and started partnerships with other partners.

One of Benjamin Franklins famous writings that still live on today through quotes and words and everyday life that the American Philosopher simplified and made things easier to understand and compute through the complex mind. Poor Richards almanac summarized his views that by hard work dedication and honesty the poor people will rise up from the prison they are consumed in and find themselves to a more useful and approachable life. Benjamin Franklin quoted in poor Richards almanac that “ Early to bed and early to rise make a man healthy, wealthy and wise, “When you run in debt, you give anotherpower over your Liberty”. The quote that Benjamin had used was saying to my knowledge that all men have power full and everybody can improve themselves and to not fall short of what you think you “Cannot” do. Poor Richards almanac became a best seller in North America and was also known as “The wealthy way to life” the book was translated into a dozen of different languages and countless reprints.

Benjamin Franklin loved to experiment scientifically. He invented the Pennsylvania fireplace later called the Franklin stove. A simple device the he assembled in his living room. But Franklins best discovery was he proposed a experimental test that lighting was in fact a form of electricity. Using the famous kite experiment which drew lighting to the ground which thereby established the theory and fact. Franklin’s discovery offered a comprehensive synthesizing idea, explaining this theory as a fact. His experiment soon appeared all over buildings all over the world.

Benjamin Franklin was a great man the did tremendous things throughout his life he had a beautiful wife named Deborah Read Rodgers. He fathered two sons William and Francis and one daughter Sarah. He also returnd to Philadelphia and was elected to the Continental Congress and submits the Articles of Confederation of United Colonies and in 1776 he signed the Declaration of Independence. And on April the American Philosopher pages ended in the great book of life his life came to the end and his life was layed to rest. His works are still remembered in history books and writings forever.

An American Philosopher that once quoted. “If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write things worth reading or do things worth the writing”
