Objective: Students will be able to safely traverse the halls when it is appropriate for them to be in the hall. Essential questions: Why is it important to be safe in the halls and on the sidewalks? What behaviors do you and other students need to correct in order to be safe?

Do Now Make the following t chart on your paper. Begin to fill in the problems you observe in the hall and on the side walk Problems observed PRIDE solution

Grouping activity Form a group of 5 with people who all have a different letter than you do Form a word with your 5 letters NO TALKING UNTIL EVERYONE HAS A GROUP Sit with your new group

Following the letters of the word you made, take turns sharing what problems you identified

Purpose The purpose of the hallway and sidewalks is to walk quickly and quietly from on place to another. ◦Walk at an appropriate pace ◦Don’t stop ◦Stay to the right
