Summary Of The Book The summary of this book is about this 16 year old boy named Bobby. He got this girl named Nia pregnant, in which the pregnancy changes Bobby life forever. Soon after that he has to take care of Feather all by himself since Nia doesn’t want to take the responsibility to take care of Feather.

Theme Of The book The theme of the book is that Bobby got Nia pregnant, so now he has to take care of his child named Feather all by himself.

Setting The setting of this story is in New York

Plot The plot of this story is when they went to the hospital, the mom’s house, and Coco’s house.

Climax The climax of the story is when Nia is waiting at the sub way station for Bobby, then she tells Bobby that she is pregnant on Bobby’s birthday.

Conflict The conflict of the story is when Bobby is in high school and he is raising a child without the mother’s help.

The Resolution The resolution of this story is when Bobby and Feather go to sleep soon after that he went to his new apartment to look around inside of the apartment.

Style The style of this story is informal do to the fact that he used slang.

Author’s Tone and Mood The author’s tone for this story is positive do to the fact that Bobby has the right attitude about being a father. The mood of this story is caring, outgoing, and independent.

Author’s purpose for writing the book The author’s purpose for writing “The First Part Last” is to inform do to the fact that the love story that has been given to the reader can happen in real life. Everybody can get their heart broken by someone else.

What You Learned I learned that you should never depend on somebody else when anything happens. I also learned that you should never do certain things before you are married.

Would You Recommend This Book to Others? The question is, if I would recommend this book to others and my answer is yes. I chose yes do to the fact that it is a great book to read. A lot of people might like love stories and all kinds of different things like that, so they might actually like this book.
