Steps to Begin Making a Print Choose which sketchbook drawing will work the best for your print. Tear the drawing out of your book. Put in on the lightbox, with the drawing side facing down. Then trace it onto the other side of the paper. Now you have a reversed image, which you will transfer to your block.

Transferring Your Drawing to Your Block Cut out your drawing once you have traced it onto the back of your paper. Tape a piece of carbon paper on the first block With the traced side facing you, tape your drawing on top of the carbon paper. Now transfer the part of your drawing that will go on this first block. Repeat with the remaining blocks. Transfer a different colored part of the drawing to each block.
