Candidate Process 1.Marketing efforts direct job-seekers to NCWorks.gov Employer Microsite and one of the local NCWorks Career Centers 2.Applicant employability skills training in preparation for GE pre-hire process: “Preparation for Entering the Manufacturing Workforce” 3.Job seekers complete online GE EZ App 4.Upon successful GE EZ App, candidates can schedule a SAMS Assessment at a convenient local testing site, (Wilkes Community College, Caldwell Community College, and others) 5.High Scoring applicants are scheduled for interviews

Supplies & Materials Students are required to have an address Students must have a notebook and pen or pencil Students must have a USB drive Objectives Create a resume and upload an electronic copy Demonstrate behavioral and situational interview skills through a mock interview session Become confident in online job application completion Demonstrate proper verbal and written business communications Show understanding of GE hiring process Become aware of the job seeking process through class discussions of essential soft skills Attendance Policy: 1. Students are expected to be present and on time for every class. 2. Students are required to attend all 10 hours of the course to receive credit. Preparation for the Manufacturing Workforce

Each team member brought a wealth of knowledge and abilities to this project. Only through hard work, collaboration and communication have we achieved success in this project. We are currently assisting GE Aviation with an additional expansion with the expectation that we will help them find the workforce necessary to achieve their production goals. HRD is only a piece of the Puzzle
