Body Systems By Stephanie

The Muscular System The muscular system enables the body to move.

The Muscular System The three muscle Smooth muscle, Cardiac muscle and Skeletal muscles. The Smooth muscle is found in the digestive tract and the blood vessels. Cardiac muscle is a special type of muscle found only in your heart. Skeletal muscle are attached to your bones for movement, and they help protect your inner organs.

The Muscular System Tendon a tough connective tissue that connects skeletal muscles to bones.

The Muscular System Aerobic Exercise: are activities such as jogging, cycling, skating, swimming, or walking. Aerobic Exercise increases the size and strength of your skeletal muscles.

Muscle Injuries Before any exercise muscles should be warmed up, to reduce the risk of injury. A muscle strain is the overstretching or tearing of a muscle.

The Respiratory System The respiratory system consists of the lungs, throat, and passageways that lead to the lungs. Breathing is made possible by the respiratory system.

The Respiratory System Nose is the primary passageway into and out of the respiratory system. Pharynx air flows into it from the nose. Larynx contains the vocal cords. Trachea is a passageway for air from the larynx to the lungs. Bronchi 2 tubes that connects.

The Respiratory System Trachea is a passageway for air from the larynx to the lungs. Bronchi 2 tubes that connects the lungs to the trachea. Lungs a saclike organ that takes oxygen and delivers it to the blood.

Respiratory Disorders Respiratory Disorders: asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, and emphysema.

The Hazards of Smoking Smoking is the leading cause of lung diseases, such as emphysema and lung cancer.
