Kuskovo Homestead Semen Dashevskiy

Kuskovo  Kuskovo Homestead was an estate of Sheremetyeves in the past.It is located on the east of the Moskow at the Veshnyaki Area  This location includes the palace witch was built at the 2 nd half of 18 th century in the classical style; Mainsail and the Greenhouse both of them were projects of serf architect Argunov), Hermitage, Italian and Holland houses  The Homestead was consisted of 3 parts behind the pound with the Menagerie, French and English parks.

The Big House ( ) This Palace is the main building at the Peter Sheremetyev’s Homestead it was built for cerenonical guests in summer.It’s made of wood in Traditional Russian Architecture Style.It has got 2 stages:the front one and the mezzanine one. The architect of the palace is not exactly known. Assumptionally it was the Karl Black;earlier was an assumption that it was a French academician Devalye. Architecture of this house was built in Russian classical style which was typical for the 2 nd middle of 18 century.It’s façade is dressed with 3 columns central - the largest and most solemn, which is filled with lush fronton woodcarvings around monogram «PS» under the count's coronet; side with arched semicircular are decorated with carved frontons military attributes. To the main entrance of the palace is the central march of white stone stairs and sloping ramps - descent to enter the carriage. Wheelchair flanking figures of sphinxes - fantastic creatures with female head and lion's body.

Italian House ( )  Was built since 1754 till 1755 years under the leadership by Kologrivov, who got an architectural education in Rome. This house was used like a palace for “Small Receptions”.It also served like the interest for rarities and seldom arts which were typical for 18nd century.So this Palace could also serve like a museum.

Holland house (1749)  The Holland House is located on the bank of the pound. This is the building which consists of 2 stages. The building of this house had beed begun at 1749.The location had been built in traditional Holland style of 17 th century and rooms were built in the same style.It was used for it’s appointment despite it looks like Holland for living.An alcove and the garden had to make the illusion of the street on the bank of the channel

Mainsail ( )  One of the most interesting buildings in Kuskovo.It was built since 1755 till 1761 under the leadership by Argunov  Stone baroque pavilion at the three-step pedestal richly decorated with sculptures in niches decorations on the gables, lion masks above the windows. The walls are decorated with colored glass Mainsail and calcareous tufa. The architects decided that Mainsail has to impersonate element of stone and water.

Hermitage (1765—1767)  Had been used just by close friends of Sheremetyev when they wanted to stay alone during the dance parties.  The 2 nd stage was possible to appear only by elevator.1 st stage was used for serving drinks and snakes.
