SCENARIO A. TEMPERATURE & PRODUCTION RATES: A psychologist is interested in whether lowering the temperature in a packing room will increase productivity (number of products packed). Workers in two identical packing rooms participate in the study. One room is maintained at 65 degrees, the other room is left at the usual company temperature of 76 degrees. 1.Research question? 2.Hypothesis? 3.Independent Variable? 4.Dependent Variable? 5.Experimental Group? 6.Control Group?

SCENARIO B. CAN BLUEBERRIES SLOW DOWN AGING? A study indicates that antioxidants found in blueberries may slow down the process of aging. In this study, 19-month-old rats were fed either their standard diet or a diet supplemented with blueberries. After 8 weeks, the rats were given memory and muscle tests. The rats given the diet with blueberries showed the most improvement. 1.Hypothesis? 2.Independent variable? 3.Dependent variable? 4.What was the conclusion of the experiment?
