The Redemption Connection

Adam was connected to God - that connection was broken by lack of trust that led to disobedience God connected with Noah by grace (favor unmerited) but he was saved by obeying what God said God connected with Abraham and introduced a connection that would be a reestablishment of Adams connection Adam was connected to God - that connection was broken by lack of trust that led to disobedience God connected with Noah by grace (favor unmerited) but he was saved by obeying what God said God connected with Abraham and introduced a connection that would be a reestablishment of Adams connection

Adam and Eve were connected to God q

The connection was broken the moment they doubted God q

The woman was convinced. The fruit looked so fresh and delicious, and it would make her so wise! So she ate some of the fruit. She also gave some to her husband q

Commitment and Trust are the point of contact Without intentional (willful) commitment there is no connection Am I committed to Him? Is He committed to me? Can I trust Him? Do I? q Faith = the point of contact for our connection with God.

FAITH = belief in, devotion to, or trust in somebody or something, especially without logical proof BELIEF = acceptance by the mind that something is true or real, often underpinned by an emotional or spiritual sense of certainty an opinion, especially a firm and considered one FAITH = belief in, devotion to, or trust in somebody or something, especially without logical proof BELIEF = acceptance by the mind that something is true or real, often underpinned by an emotional or spiritual sense of certainty an opinion, especially a firm and considered one

FAITH The main elements in faith in its relation to the invisible God (1)a firm conviction, producing a full acknowledgement of God’s revelation or truth, (2)a personal surrender to Him (3)a conduct inspired by such surrender The main elements in faith in its relation to the invisible God (1)a firm conviction, producing a full acknowledgement of God’s revelation or truth, (2)a personal surrender to Him (3)a conduct inspired by such surrender

Genesis 15:5 (NLT) Then the Lord brought Abram outside beneath the night sky and told him, “Look up into the heavens and count the stars if you can. Your descendants will be like that—too many to count!” And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord declared him righteous because of his faith. Righteousness Right standing with God not just a position, but a right, correct position Right standing with God not just a position, but a right, correct position

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was absolutely convinced that God was able to do anything he promised. (Rom 4:20,21)

Then the Lord told Abram, “Leave your country, your relatives, and your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you. God opens Himself and Invites Abram to connect q

"We cannot experience the love and joy of life until we've connected to another at the level of our soul“ Larry Crabb

Connection is at the deepest level of human consciousness and experience

Substitutionary Atonement Atonement = paying for the offence Substitute = someone in your place

27 Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on our good deeds. It is based on our faith. 28 So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law. 29 After all, God is not the God of the Jews only, is he? Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is. 30 There is only one God, and there is only one way of being accepted by him. He makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles. 31 Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law. Romans 3:27-31 (NLT)
