OBSERVE ALL THINGS COMMANDED

God expects and demands adherence to His laws, statutes and precepts.  Noah understood (Gen. 6:8-9, 22; 7:5).  God stressed it to Israel (Deut. 4:1-2; 12:32; 29:29).  Disregard for God’s authority reaps consequences. Exo. 25:12-14; Deut. 10:8; 2 Sam. 6:3-7; 1 Chron. 15:2, 13

The Lord Jesus exemplified the proper respect for His Father’s word.  His mission was to fulfill everything (Matt. 5:17-22; 3:15).  Both lesser and weightier matters are to be done (Matt. 23:23).  Path to eternal life is keeping God’s commandments (Matt. 19:16-17).  Jesus obeyed all (Heb. 4:15; 7:26).

Believers of Christ are called to observe all of Christ’s teaching.  Jesus’ commandment (Matt. 28:18, 20). John 12:48-49  Fellowship depends upon it (2 John 9) 1 Corinthians 4:6; 1 Peter 4:11  Words from the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 2:9-10, 12-13). 1 Thessalonians 2:13
