Fad: an extreme, short-lived fashion If a fad item appears on the scene that you feel you must own even if you're only going to wear it twice, then buy it as cheap as possible without sacrificing quality.

Designing Fashion Imagine that you are a fashion designer, and your boss has given you an assignment to create a new fashion trend as part of your design firms new collection. You have to be a trend setter and create an outfit that will catch on and become a new fashion trend! 1. Use In-Style magazine to inspire your new creation 2. Trace a fashion croquis lightly and draw your new trendy outfit on top 3. Color your outfit with colored pencils (remember bold colors and patterns are very trendy) 4. Fold a piece of paper in half. On one half, define Classic Fashion and cut out 3 examples of classic fashion. On the other half, mount your fashion croquis and define Fad below.
