SIEUR DE LA SALLE His birth name is Rene’ Robert Cavelier. He was born in Rouen,France. He was born Nov He is known as Sieur De La Salle. He explored for France. His family was very rich and wealthy.

HIS VOYAGES He explored to find Asian route. La Salle left Montreal in July He hired 14 men to travel with him. In November, the group split up. Most of the men went back to Montreal, but La Salle didn’t go with them. He did not go back to Montreal until late 1670

HARDSHIPS Some of his men left him Some of his ships left.

DISCOVERIES He discovered that the Mississippi river drains out into the gulf of Mexico.
