Pull up your work from yesterday - adding text features to the Halloween candy article

Text features help enhance the information in a text, but what about the way the text is organized? This is known as...

Text structure aka Pattern of organization Create a notes page in Google Sites under the READING tab with the following title: TEXT STRUCTURE PATTERNS OF ORGANIZATION 10/28/15

Underneath your notes, write the following article titles: 1. Bullying - 2. Sharknado 3 review - 3. Texting May Be Taking a Toll - 4. Enemies Attack - 5. Reptiles and Amphibians -

Take out your Chromebook, but KEEP IT CLOSED! Get markers if you have some in your locker!

What are text features? Give 5 examples of text features commonly found in informational text. What is text structure? What is another way to say text structure? What are 5 common types of text structure?

Scan through each of these articles on Google Classroom and identify which text structure / pattern of organization you see. 1. Bullying - 2. India's Caste System - 3. Texting May Be Taking a Toll - 4. Enemies Attack - 5. Reptiles and Amphibians -

I n your group, create a poster for your assigned text structure. Write the name, and list some of its defining characteristics (look back at your notes from the Powerpoint). In the Lit book, turn to pgs. R9-R13 and bullet some of the strategies for reading. Input the information from your article into an appropriate graphic organizer (this is one of the attachments with the articles on Google Classroom) assignment

Sample poster Text structure / pattern of organization name s trategies for reading found in Literature book on pgs. R9-R13 (order of importance group will not be required to do this section) appropriate graphic organizer (found on Google Classroom with articles) containing information from your group's article First and last names of all group members Article title defining characteristics (use notes from yesterday's Powerpoint)
