All About me ● Summer job washing and sterilising glassware in hospital laboratory ● 7 years working in Medical Laboratories such as Pathology,Biochemistry,Cytogenetics at The Royal Hospital for Sick Children ● 10 years as Assistant Technician at George Watson’s College ● 6 years as School Science Technician at Currie Community High School
Currie Community High School ● School Roll approx 800 pupils ● Science Department has 10 working Laboratories, 9 members teaching staff,2.5 technical staff ● High percentage uptake of Sciences ● Variety of courses taught including Standard Grades, Intermediate 1 and 2,Higher,Advanced Higher,Laboratory Skills ● 185 Teaching hours per week ● 87 Technical hours per week
My role as a Science Technician ● To support teachers and pupils by the provision of chemicals,apparatus and worksheets in accordance with needs and requirements.
