The Parts of the Robot Verses A Human Motor and Battery packs The Controller (mini computer) or CPU The Human Brain The Brain of a Robot

Robots Can See and Hear Humans have: Eyes and Ears Robots use sensors to see and hear. Robots use IR sensors (infrared sensors) to see and a MIC (microphone) to detect sound.

Force verses Power Force- A push or a pull. You are doing work when you use a force to cause motion. You can observe a force when something flies, falls, slides, or spins. Power- The ability to act or produce an effect. -kick a ball -push a swing -blocking a puck (goalie) -hitting a flying ball (baseball, tennis)

Force has Magnitude and Direction 1. Both are pushing but are not moving. 2. Both are pushing and one robot is being pushed robots are pushing one robot, but none are moving.

Battle Bugs

Rivets: Pin and Pinhole Pin Pinhole The pinhole must be in the plates first and then push down the pin. When the pin is push all the way down before it is connected to the plate, it will not go into plate.

Activities Bug Battles (2 bugs per battle) Modify your bug for more force and power Obstacle Course

Safety Rules Please, Do not swing around equipment Try your best Ask questions when you need help Be respectful to others HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!
