Winston Smith is a man.

Winston Smith is being watched by a group called “Big Brother”. Big Brother is the government. They have very strict rules.

He does not like being watched. Winston wants to make his own decisions but he is afraid of getting in trouble for thinking that.

Big Brother tells Winston Smith that he has to learn a new language.

He does not want to learn a new language. He does not like “Big Brother” controlling him.

Winston meets a woman named Julia. She has black hair. They work together. He wants to date Julia but is worried about Big Brother.

Winston loves Julia, but he is afraid that Big Brother will not let them be together.

Winston and Julia start to date anyway. They both agree that they do not want to be watched, they want to make their own choices.

Winston and Julia live together. They get a small apartment together. The whole time they are worried about Big Brother catching them.

Winston and Julia are still being watched. They know that they might go to jail if they are caught.

Winston and Julia do not like being watched. They do not want to go to jail.

Big Brother finds out about Winston and Julia. They get in trouble and go to jail. They are put in different cells and do not get to see each other.

Winston makes a deal gets out of jail. Julia does not know about Winston’s deal. He lives alone and obeys Big Brother.
