Why do famous athletes and entertainers make so much money? Why does the president make $400,000? Why does a social worker helping kids get $38,000?

Are these athletes and entertainers overpaid?

Babe Ruth was asked if he was overpaid…  The Bambino The Caliph of Clout Babe Sultan of Swat The Behemoth of Bust The Great Bambino The Big Bam

Athletes have always been accused of being overpaid.  When Babe Ruth was asked in 1930, the first year of the Great Depression, about his salary of $80,000 a year being more than the President (who earned 75,000), the Babe replied, "I know, but I had a better year than Hoover."

Prices are signals…  But what do they say about us as a society?
