Mobile phones what are they? Mobile phones are a huge part in technology as everyone in the world owns one these days, this wasn’t the case 20 years ago. They allow you to connect to people all over the world via the internet or texting and calling.

the first mobile phone. The first mobile phones, referred to as First Generation or 1G, were introduced to the public market in 1983 by the Motorola Company. These first mobile phones used analog technology which was much less reliable than the digital technology we use today. They were the size of a large briefcase and very inconvenient. These were only used for calling. It cost $100m to develop.
