The European Court of Human Rights practice indicates that the length of proceedings is one of the main problems in the delivery of justice in the Member States. Consequently, the creation of a special Centre by the CEPEJ in 2007, whose activity consists purely in working on issues on trial duration, was quite predictable. Chapter 3.
