My Education Graduated from Jefferson County High School in 2006 Graduated from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2010 with a B.A. in History Graduated from the University of Arizona in 2012 with a M.Ed

Expectations What are my expectations for you? Be Prepared. Have materials  Pencil, paper, binder, homework Be on TIME Be in your seat before the bell rings, otherwise you are tardy. After the 2 nd tardy, you will receive a detention. Be Respectful Do not speak when someone else is speaking. Don't have side conversations or yell out. Raise your hand when you want to speak.

Expectations (continued) Electronic Devices Don’t have cell phones or tabs out during class. There will be a time when you can use them but only when I announce it.

Rules 1. Enter the room calmly and go to your assigned seat. 2. Be in your seat and ready to begin the day before the bell rings, otherwise you will be marked tardy. 3. Raise your hand and wait to be called on before you speak. 4. Be prepared with all materials. 5. Be respectful to everyone, students and staff, at all times. 6. Do not leave your seat without permission.

Consequences What are the consequences for not following the rules? If you cannot follow the rules, you will stay after school and write the rules. As soon as you have written the rules neatly, you may leave If you do not write the rules after school, then you will be given a detention. Failure to go to detention results in a referral.

Your Expectations What are your expectations for me? It is my job to set you up to succeed. I will give you the proper tools, guidance, and patience you need to be successful in my class.

2 nd Semester World History This semester we are going to cover the: Age of Imperialism WWI WWII Cold War

Grading We will be coving 4 major units this semester. There will be 4 major exams and a few quizzes per each unit. For the semester there will be 2 essays to write. We will do classwork and some homework regularly.
