Presentation transcript:

 Find out all possible methods of scoring points  Determine the most efficient method(s) of scoring points  Amount of macaroni is inversely proportional to average score per game

 Look for an infinite point outlet (Bowled Over lifting crates)  Look for high risk, high reward situations (Block Party double hang)  Be aware of and avoid penalties  Make sure your robot can complete as many game elements as possible

 Preventing the opposing alliance from scoring (in a Graciously Professional way)  Blocking is allowed, but deliberate entanglement, damage, and pinning violate the idea of Gracious Professionalism and may result in penalties or even disqualification

 Look for possible defensive opportunities  Remember, your opponent is looking to do the same thing to you  Is defense worth it?

 Analyze your previous matches for ways to improve your play  Watch other high scoring matches to compare your scoring strategy and efficiency  Look for defense played in matches – Could your robot still play the game?  Constantly improve your robot’s design. Never stop improving.

 Set milestones at the beginning of the season  Create a budget  You need a practice field to practice tele-op and autonomous strategies
