Christmas in Romania We celebrate Christmas because it represents the Birth of Jesus. We celebrate Christmas on 25 th December. On Christmas we do many things: We decorate the Christmas tree.

We go from door to door and sing Christmas carols. - In rural parts of Romania people have traditional costumes.

Easter in Romania We celebrate Easter because Jesus rose and ascended into heaven. On Easter we do many things: We go to church and take light.

We paint and decorate eggs. They are usually painted red because it symbolizes Jesus’ s Blood.

We eat traditional dishes made of lamb At church we sing: Romanian version: Isus a inviat din morti Cu moarte pe moarte calcand……. English version: Jesus rose from the dead stepped down death by death……
