Engineering Basics Engineering can be divided into four main sections. – Chemical Engineering – Civil Engineering – Electrical Engineering – Mechanical Engineering * *Automotive Engineering is one of the many subtopics of Mechanical Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering Mechanical engineers design machines and devices by using their knowledge of the principles of energy and mechanics. Problems a mechanical engineer might encounter are the laws of physics and creating enough power with a limited amount of space.

Automotive Engineering Basics Automotive Engineering is the design and construction of : –C–Cars –B–Bicycles –T–Trucks –T–Trains –M–Motorcycles –E–Etc. Automotive engineering is an extension of mechanical engineering because they use the principles of mechanics and energy to create an automobile.

Automotive Engineering Achievements First wheel created (4 th millennium B.C.) First carriage created (3000 B.C.) First steam engine created (1698) First bike created (1817) First mass produced car (1908)

The Car In our opinion, the car is the greatest automotive engineering feat of all time. It not only changed the way we traveled, but the whole world. Almost everyone in the world today relies on a car somehow.

World ’ s Fastest Car If we were automotive engineers, our grand challenge would be to create the worlds fastest car. The current world record is held by the Thrust SSC at mph. We believe it would benefit mankind because it would push the limits of what humans are capable of constructing. As automotive engineers, we could contribute to the production of the car by using our knowledge of mechanics and energy.
