Basically: Don’t make assumptions about people based on their appearance or circumstances (and don’t let appearance or circumstances keep you down). Everyone has the ability to change and become a success story!

“Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover” & “From Rags to Riches” in Pop Culture These are such popular storylines that we see them in pop culture all the time – music, movies, television shows, etc. For each example, write a one-sentence summary of how this film shows a success story. Focus specifically on the beliefs and behaviors that affected the Pygmalion effect!

Unit 4 Poster Activity Create a visual for Unit 4. Requirements: Choose one proverb as the theme: “You can go from rags to riches. “Don’t judge a book by its cover” Image/Artwork – Visually represent your ideas about the theme you are choosing. Find an applicable quote about your theme. You may use your phone/my computer to find a quote that speaks to you. Do not just Google and put the first thing you see. Make sure it goes in quotation marks and that you attribute it to the speaker. Think outside the box… how can you apply the proverb/theme to different aspects of life?
