Climbing The Icefall! The Khumbu Icefall is a part of a glacier that flows down Everest. There’s an Avalanche ever day leaving the people who are climbing The Icefall with no idea it is coming.

The Yeti Sherpa's Believe the yeti (sasquatch or Abominable Snowman) is a human like creature the lives in the mountains and deep forests. Other people believe that it’s a rare type of Bear that often Stands on it’s back legs, so it walks like a human would. Few people have actually seen Yetis, but the Sherpa's know the mountains best!

Avalanche! Avalanches zoom down Everest’s west side practically everyday. Usually after a snowfall. There’s almost no warning at all. But if you do hear a loud crack almost like a gunshot. Then a thundering roar as the snow starts to move. The wind alone can knock you over. Avalanche sounds carry great distances on Everest, so it’s easy to make a total mistake and think the avalanche is farther any than it is.

How did Everest get its name? Everest used to have a couple of names they were peak xv. But in 1865, it was renamed Mt. Everest because Sir Gorge Everest was the first to record the location of Everest, so it was renamed that to honor Si Gorge Everest. Mt. Everest is all so called Chomolungma in Tibet and Sagamartha in Nepal
