CRITERIA FIXED BY GOI, MOHFW FOR STAR RATING OF CHC BASED ON HMIS DATA Presented by MOHFW in NPCC APRIL 2014 – DEC 2014 DEMOGRAPHY AND EVALUATION CELL, BANGALORE

METHODOLOGY District wise each CHC in Karnataka was analyzed and a rating provided i.e 5 Star, 4 Star, 3 Star, 2 Star, 1 Star, Not Eligible for star rating. 20 indicators from HMIS were considered for analysis. The indicators were categorized as: – Human Resource (3 indicators) – Infrastructure (3 indicators) – Drugs and supplies (3 indicators) – Service availability (3 indicators) – Client orientation (3 indicators) – Service utilization (5 indicators)
