„Tbilisi - Smart City“ LEPL - TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT FUND (TDF) 2015

Mission: The mission of the Fund is to implement innovative modern technologies and products in the municipal services provided by Tbilisi self-government. Goals:  Innovations and technology development;  Professional enhancement (Capacity Building)  Development of modern municipal infrastructure of Tbilisi 2 Mission and Goals

Tbilisi Green Street – Street was chosen in Tbilisi city center, we are renovating whole street with "Green" concept :  Planting specially selected trees;  Make green infrastructure on the street (façade, walkways, solar battery street lighting etc.);  Installing digital technological information devices for measurement of air pollution level.  “Smart Chairs”, Green Boxes, Solar Power Systems etc.  Projection phase has already finished and implementation will start in Spring Tbilisi Green Street

One of the kindergartens was chosen to rebuild it with energy saving concept.  Water heating system (roof integration)  Green Roof  Solar water pipes  Collection of atmospheric waters  Secondary water use is sewage system  Insulation of external fencing walls (facades).  Insulation of attic floor, first floor and roof.  Reduction of glazing coefficient.  Project will reduce CO2 Emissions 40tons per annum (160 tons by 2020) 5 ENERGY EFFICIENT MUNICIPAL BUILDING

FAB LAB- Business Incubator  Project is complex and stakeholders are:  „Technology Development Fund“,  “Georgian Innovations and Technologies Agency“  „Georgian Technical University“  „ I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University“  “Tbilisi Entrepreneurship Support Center”  FAB LAB- business incubators are fully equipped with 3D printers, 3D Scanners and different kind of machinery  FAB LAB – The primary goal is to create union of inventors, innovators, enterprises, enthusiasts and other interested stakeholders which finally reflects on economic growth FAB LAB- Business Incubator priorities are:  Creation and further development of Start Ups  Creation jobs by means of Start Ups  Invention/creation of innovative products

Services (FAB LAB):  Servicing of industrial entrepreneurship laboratory  Free service for all customers Service (Business Incubator):  Business Consulting;  Legal Service;  Financial Management;  Marketing Consulting;  Organizing meeting with public and private sector representatives;  Successful member of business incubator will be invited to participate in different kind of activities  Organizing hackathons and other similar competitions. Project implies:  Placing public library locations and addresses,  Printing e-books and assigning individual QR codes for public to download. Banners are placed in the public spaces (Tbilisi Metro Stations). Anyone using smartphone or tablets will have ability to download books for free. 9 QR Library

Civic engagement in decision making and budgeting process:  Online Application Form  Hard Copy Applications  Applications Received – 1200 Applications/ideas are reviewed by City Hall Management. Best projects will be assigned in 2016 city budget. 10 CITY FORUM: LET’S TAKE CARE OF TBILISI TOGETHER

 To involve various competent stakeholders in different fields of innovations and technologies in order to enable these entities generate their innovative ideas and visions for further city development;  Web platform is developed and integrated into current web site of the Fund. This will enable companies to share their experiences with technologies and innovations;  Annual conferences will be held;  Fund will provide full support to execute proposed ideas to strengthen partnership with participant companies PROJECT IMPLY: PROJECT SCOPE: Tbilisi Technology Network
