Objectives: I hope to convey through this power point presentation that even though we all have differences on the outside, that we are very similar in the inside.

Materials The materials that I will need to present this presentation effectively are: 1. Projector 2. Screen 3. Captive Audience 4. Open minds

Websites Continued 4. Children's Books That Reflect Diversity Children's Books That Reflect Diversity Teachers can work with school librarians to choose children's books that reflect diversity in racial and ethnic identity, disabilities, families, and gender roles. The following sources may be helpful in ea4lk21.htmChildren's Books That Reflect Diversity

Student Activities The activities that I will be having the children participate in are relatively simple ones. At the end of the presentation, and throughout, I would ask questions that would lead the children to understand that there is very little between everyone on earth.

Activities Continued After the questioning session, I would then have the children return to their seats where they would color pictures that show similarities between everyone.

Are we different?

Answer: No!

We all breath air.

We all like to play in the snow!

We all like to play in the sand.

We all laugh.

We all cry.

We all like hugs!

We all like ice cream!

We all hurt, sometimes.

The important thing to remember though …… ?

Is that we are all friends!
