Government plans to achieve work integrated learning through involvement of business sector to improve skills. NIHE,FETs and government needs to produce required skills. WHAT DOES GOVERNMENT WISH TO ACHIEVE

QUESTION 1 Describe the INPUTS/OUTPUTS (supply side /push factors/building blocks)that will allow for collaboration between FETs, NIHE, business and government to support work integrated learning for better Human Resources Development coordination?

Question 3 How can higher education and NSA, through NIHE, in collaboration with FETs, business and government assist with research and ensure efficient work integrated learning and other relevant HRD project and programmes in the province?

RESPONSES NIHE should conduct research and develop a model to address the demand from employers Mentoring by employers The mentors must be assessed by external assessors from colleges

Question 4 How can NSA and SETAs assist to ensure that every workplace changes into a training space to enable organizational and individual growth? NIHE to do research and come up with a model that will talk to demand and supply of the industry.

RESPONSES Need to get small companies to take employees GDP in MP comes from small companies therefore government needs. Need to incentivize companies to train more people Establish a pool facilitators
