Objective: The students will understand what a still life is and create a still life using various media. Variety is a Principal of Design Variety of the elements: Shape, Line, Color, Texture, and Values. It's what makes the art piece interesting. Too much variety can lead to chaos and confusion of the viewer.

An arrangement of objects that cannot move on their own. For example: a bowl of fruit or a vase with flowers.

Look at the shape of the flowers. Look at the colors. Look at the pattern on the vase.
