Rocky Flats Plant Rocky Flats Radiation & Beryllium Surveillance o Radiation Recall Program (1980) managed by Rocky Flats Medical until 1998, and then by ORAU until 2004 o National Jewish screened current workers for beryllium sensitization through 1990, followed in 1991 by the Rocky Flats Beryllium Medical Surveillance Program and the ORAU Nationwide Beryllium Program that screened current and former workers through 2004 o DOE Former Worker Programs, e.g., the Building Trades Medical Screening Program and the National Supplemental Screening Program 2

Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) manages the NSSP, and with its partners NJH, UCD, CHS, and Axion Health provides service on a nation-wide basis Medical exams performed in every state More than 1,300 medical centers used More than 12,500 initial medical exams NSSP maintains a >99% participant satisfaction rating 3 National Supplemental Screening Program (NSSP)

The NSSP serves former workers from: ArgonneKansas City Plant FermiPrinceton Plasma Physics Lab Rocky FlatsHanford PinellasSavannah River …and any former worker who cannot be served by one of the other Former Worker Programs 4
