RP actions after the Sector Test Delayed access to the LHC due to air activation (~1/2 hour) The LHC areas affected by the Sectors Test will remain closed until RP has performed a radiation survey in the areas. The LHC area to be surveyed is ranging from R22 up to the area downstream last beam impact point in Point 3 (direction Point 4). Point 3 will remain closed with radiation veto. Due to the risk of elevated dose rates the survey in Point 3 will not be done before access to this area is required. The whole RP survey will last approximately 1 day. Survey will start downstream Point 3 into direction of Point 4, followed by a survey of the ALICE experimental cavern. Radiation vetos will be lifted as soon as surveys are finished. IT Doris Forkel-Wirth, Helmut Vincke

Forecast of area classifications after the test All areas which have seen beam or secondary particles originating from any beam impact will be classified at least as Supervised Radiation Areas. These areas will range from R22 over ALICE to the area located downstream Point 3 (direction Point4). Personnel accessing Supervised Radiation Areas have to be equipped with a personal dosimeter. Areas around the Point 3 collimators will be classified as Controlled Radiation Areas:  Area will not be freely accessible (access doors closed by radiation veto)  Personal and operational dosimeter will be required  Job and dose planning is required for access Area around the TDI absorber will most probably remain accessible with personal dosimeter only. The final classification will however depend on the intensity shot on the TDI absorber. IT Material leaving classified areas: All material leaving radiation areas needs to be classified and/or controlled by RP Doris Forkel-Wirth, Helmut Vincke
